Excellent late summer biomass and nitrogen builder. Lentils are a shorter growing, cool season legume that produces a biomass of leafy vines that fix moderate amounts of nitrogen. Lentils are becoming popular for seeding in mid-late august due to their ability to grow better in dry conditions than peas. Great for mixing with tillage radish and oats.
