Delightful, cold hardy salad green. Native to the
Pacific Coast, it was used by indigenous people as a
medicinal plant. Later gold rush miners ate it to ward
off scurvy. Succulent, heart-shaped leaves are high
in Vitamin C, A, and iron. Grows best in cool weather.
