Vigorous-growing summer annual legume that thrives in hot conditions. Cowpeas have excellent drought stress tolerance (better than soybeans) and fixes up to 150 lbs. nitrogen. Widely adapted to varied soil types including nutrient poor, sandy or droughty soils. Ready to plowdown 60-90 days after planting. Needs warm conditions to grow and germinate.
